Charybdis is prideful, envious, and extremely manipulative. He prides himself on being a terror of the seas back in his glory days, but despises his forced transformation and even sees it more as a curse. He feels as if it is unnatural and goes against the laws of nature that an animal such as himself have long adhered to, and does not appreciate his spot on the food chain being taken from him. He sees all scientists as evil and self serving, and doesn't believe any of them work for the greater good, and his opinion cannot be changed easily. However, his pride is fragile, and the more he fails his goals the harder he gets on himself, and the more easily provoked he is. Fish depression perhaps?

He is also very jealous of creatures that get to roam around freely like he used to. He greatly desires freedom, as he knows what it feels like to be truly free, and will hold a grudge against anyone who has tried to contain him or use him for their own gain. He hates being trapped, but he's not reckless and doesn't try to break out without a plan. He is very good at improvising on the spot, and is an extremely intelligent and observant ectonism.

Due to his many years spent in captivity with egotistical and manipulative scientists, he's rapidly picked up on these mannerisms and can easily turn arguments in his favor and twist his opponent's words. He's very mean and will cross any line he comes across as he rarely will feel guilty at all. He will watch and listen to everything in his environment and he will remember every second of it. He has a lot of pent up anger that he cannot express because the effort will be futile and not matter in the end. To combat this he is very uncooperative and refuses to help or answer questions, as seeing people he loathes angry is an enjoyable experience.

Because of Charybdis’s personality and life situation, he is very lonely, even if he may not realize it. He has always been on his own, and due to his captivity he believes he will never enjoy the company of others. In reality, all Charybdis wishes is to be normal again, and to get away from all the supernatural and scientific bullshit he is subjected to, but he knows he will never live a normal life again.
